Advances in Terahertz Medical Imaging

Abstract

Recent improvements in terahertz first-generation system architecture and terahertz detection technologies facilitate development of reflective terahertz imaging systems for measurement of tissue hydration. Applications include mapping of corneal hydration, assessment of burn injuries, and skin hydration.
