HIGH GRADIENT ACCELERATION OF ELECTRONS IN A LASER-DRIVEN DIELECTRIC ACCELERATOR

Abstract

We report the first observation of high-gradient acceleration of electrons in a lithographically fabricated micron-scale dielectric optical accelerator driven by a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser.
