Abstract

Plasmons can be excited, propagated, and confiend in low-dimensional objects down to the sub-nanometer-scale. We summarize our experimental works on plasmons in atomic-scale metallic systems measured by electron energy loss psectroscopy, and the antenna resonances by using optical spectroscopy.
