Control of Spontaneous Emission and Reflectance in Anisotropic Metamaterials based on Irregular and Discontinuous Metallic Inclusions

Abstract

We show that a metamaterial based on irregular and discontinuous metallic inclusions can show a property expected of hyperbolic metamaterials, such as control of spontaneous emission and reduced reflection.
