Production of copper nanoparticles by femtosecond laser micromachining in borosilicate glass

Abstract

Femtosecond laser pulses were used to induce the precipitation of copper nanoparticles into three-dimensionally well-defined regions of borosilicate glass. Such results open new perspectives for the development of new photonic devices.
