Ultra-sensitive Sensing with A Superluminal Ring Laser

Abstract

We show, theoretically and experimentally, how a ring laser can be tuned to a regime where the group velocity of light far exceeds the vacuum veocity, realizing a superluminal laser, with high sensitivity to perturbations.
