Ellipticity Dependence of Nonsequential Double Ionization

Abstract

Using a classical ensemble method, we predict that nonsequential double ionization (NSDI) probability can be much higher than one would expect from the recollision model [1] for highly elliptical and circular polarization. The underlying physics will be discussed.
