Secondary Processes Induced by Femtosecond Laser Plasma X-Ray and Corpuscular Emission in External Target

Abstract

Plasma created by the femtosecond laser pulse (I=1017 W/cm2) was used as a source of electrons and x-rays to excite 14.4 keV nuclear state of 57Fe. Conversional de-excitation of this state was observed.
