X-ray probing of high field ionization in the attosecond limit

Abstract

High order harmonics of a Ti:Sapphire laser are used to investigate high field ionization and dissociative ionization by the method of time-resolved x-ray core level spectroscopic transient absorption down to femtosecond and attosecond time limits.
