Self-modulation in Heavily Doped Erbium Fiber Lasers

Abstract

A new mathematical model for the study of nonlinear chaotic dynamics in a heavily doped erbium fiber laser is proposed. The model takes into account excited state and saturable absorption at the lasing wavelength.
