Strongly Emissive ss-DNA-encapsulated Ag Nanoclusters as New Single Molecule Fluorophores

Abstract

Highly emissive ssDNA-encapsulated Ag dimers and trimers have been created and studied in polymeric and biological systems. Fluorescence intensities and photostabilities greatly exceed those of existing organic dyes. Full photophysical characterization will be reported.
