Pattern-Dependence Suppression at 0.1 THz Repetition Rate Using the Two-Photon Absorption in Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

Abstract

We numerically demonstrate that a proper management of the Two-Photon Absorption and the nonlinear optical gain saturation in a SOA-based pump-probe scheme can produce an inverted output probe pattern without any relevant pattern-dependence.
