Abstract

Femtosecond-laser-written optical waveguides are integrated into a commercial microfluidic chip. A fluorescence detection scheme is implemented, resulting in a compact device. Testing is performed by electrophoresis and optical detection of a 1-nM oligonucleotide plug.
