Impact of Nonlinearity of Dielectric Layers on the Fabry-Perot Transmission Resonances of Spatially Dispersive Metal-Dielectric Stack

Abstract

We study light transmission through dielectric-metal array where dielectric is the dominant nonlinear medium with the Kerr nonlinearity. It is shown that spatial dispersion of the metal layers diminishes the nonlinear effect of the dielectric.
