Numerical Analysis of Fiber Specklegram Stress Sensors

Abstract

We study the performance of Fiber Specklegram Sensors (FSSs) by using finite element method (FEM). Sensing mechanism is studied by evaluating different stress gauges and numerical apertures of the fibers, which evidence effective design criteria.
