Enhanced Luminescence of CaF2-B2O3 with Silver Nanoparticles

Abstract

Enhanced visible photoluminescence (PL) from 70B2O3 –30CaF2 glass matrix is observed due to the presence of silver nanoparticles. The PL is attributed to CaF2 nanocrystals formed during the heat-treatment of the samples.
