Abstract

An important application of high-speed digital holographic interferometry to vocal fold displacement measurements and vibration patterns is presented. Capturing fast and dynamic processes is required to investigate the behavior of the vocal folds when a flow-of-air in the trachea is applied. The vocal fold deformation data provided can be of help to increase knowledge on this important folded tissue. Vocal Fold displacements are found to be within the range of 0.1 um -1.0 um.
