Abstract

Strong yellow emission in Er3+/Yb3+ codoped soft glass ceramic as a function of Yb3+ concentration was obtained. The emission intensity was strong that could be readily observed with the naked eyed with a pump power as low as 50 mW. Interestingly, the results show that emission intensity increase with the Yb3+ concentration without significantly change in the color coordinate in comparison with previous work.
