Non-Conventional Receivers for Applications in Coherent Optical Communications

Abstract

We demonstrate a non-conventional receiver discriminating multiple coherent states with error rates far below the ideal heterodyne measurement limit in the regime of many photons. We also discuss its potential for optical communications. Article not available.
