Chip-scale filters, switches and mixers in silicon photonics

Abstract

We present examples of silicon photonic devices using electro-optic or thermo-optic effects in waveguides, interferometers and compact micro-resonators for high dynamic range tunable filters, wide-bandwidth switches, and wavelength converters using carrier-swept four-wave mixing.
