Direct Inscription of Waveguides in Doped Lithium Niobate Crystal with Femtosecond Laser

Abstract

Production of waveguides in lithium niobate crystal using a femtosecond laser is described. The direct inscription method relies on the laser light focused into the crystal. Experiments were performed for determining the ideal writing parameters.
