Magnetic-field sensor based on a two core fiber and Fe3O4 magnetic fluid

Abstract

A magnetic field sensor based on a two-core fiber and magnetic fluid is demonstrated. A sensitivity of 4.86 pm/Oe was achieved by measuring the displacement of spectral features associated with intercore coupling with magnetic field.
