Abstract

The technical feasibility of 10x40 and 8x50 Gbps 10-km pre-amplified systems is demonstrated for BER≤1E-13 operating with a channel spacing of 800 GHz and a minimum laser power of +7.7 dBm. The latter system is recommended for implementing 400 GbE due to its narrower system bandwidth and lower channel count.
