Variation of the Zero-Dispersion Wavelength with Bending Radius in Dispersion Shifted Fibers

Abstract

We analyze the dependence of the zero-dispersion wavelength, λ0, on the bending radius (Rb) in dispersion shifted fibers. We obtain good agreement between our simulations using the Finite Element Method (FEM) and measurements of λ0 as a function of Rb.
