Not Accessible

Abstract

Laser plasma generated via ns-solid-state lasers is employed advantageously for the ignition of internal combustion engines, jet engines and, nowadays, for rocket engines. Application to MW gas engines is close to commercial maturity, while requirements for car engines represent highest challenges to technology due to unsolved temperature management.
