PCF interferometer to temperature sensor

Abstract

We demonstrate the use of a very short Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) stub as temperature sensor. The length of the PCF stub is 2.2 mm and exhibits high thermal sensitivity of 84 pm/°C.
