On the 400-nm continuum in spectra of laser ablation graphite plasma

Abstract

Laser ablation graphite plasma spectra may include a characteristic continuum shape near 400-nm. This continuum may show the signature of high temperature Swings bands of the C3 molecule and/or hot carbon particle incandescence.
