Detection of NO and 15NO from liquid-phase reactions involving NO-generating organic, inorganic, and biological samples using a mid-infrared laser

Abstract

A mid-infrared laser spectrometer was used for specific detection of NO and 15NO from decomposition of NO-containing organic, heme model, and protein compounds. The method does not depend on any chemical derivatization of NO.
