Diode-Laser-Based Sensor for Measuring Atomic Mercury in Coal-Combustion Exhaust

Abstract

UV radiation at 253.7 nm is generated by sum-frequency mixing a 784-nm distributed feedback diode laser and a 375-nm external cavity diode laser for in situ measurements of atomic mercury emissions from coal-fired combustors.
