Ballistic Imaging in the Liquid Core of a Spray

Abstract

Single-shot ballistic imaging has been applied to two spray systems: a steady water spray and a transient diesel spray. In both cases, ballistic imaging reveals important fluid- mechanical structures formerly obscured by a fog of droplets.
