Abstract

The "fingerprint" region of the spectrum for many molecules lies in the far infrared, or THz. We report recent experiments on a broadband terahertz system (1 - 20 THz) for Fourier-transform time-domain spectroscopy (FT-TDS), and compare it to conventional FT-IR spectroscopy.
