Diode-pumped Femtosecond Tm-doped Lu2O3 Ceramic Laser

Abstract

Femtosecond-pulse operation of a diode-pumped Tm:Lu2O3 ceramic laser at 2068 nm is reported. Transform-limited pulses of 242 fs are generated with an average output power of 500 mW at 75 MHz pulse repetition rate.
