Abstract

The imaging quality of THz-SAR is sensitive to the imaging parameters. The small estimated parameter deviation of the vehicle velocity, the radar squint angle and the target distance deteriorate the imaging result. In this paper, the imaging method is the range Doppler algorithm (RDA). The vehicle velocity and the radar squint angle are searched based on the Entropy Minimization Criterion (EMC) at first. Then the improved azimuth match-filter function is constructed by the azimuth Doppler rate, which is obtained from the time-frequency distribution of the target echo. Finally, a more focused image is obtained after match filtering on the azimuth with the improved azimuth match-filter function. The imaging results of the vehicle-borne THz-SAR experiment demonstrate the efficiency of the improved method.
