Abstract

In this paper, a natural rubber product is aged for about 1000 hours in a hot oxygen environment at 100°C. The transmission characteristics of the low frequency terahertz wave (0.325–0.5 THz) are tracked during the aging of the sample. Obtained the samples in different aging time after the attenuation and variation, the transmission characteristics of the phase change. Experiments show that the attenuation of the samples to terahertz wave has obvious weakening after different aging time, and the attenuation is integrity. The attenuation of sample in each aging phase has a good correspondence with the time, using terahertz wave to study the aging of rubber has certain guiding significance.
