Near Field Optical Characterization and Mechanical Flying Stability for HAMR

Abstract

The near-field optical characterization was conducted with a grating based HAMR head and SPAH media as a function of wavelengths. A touch-down characterization was also analyzed to understand the flying stability with the laser module for the light delivery.
