Abstract

Holographic data storage (HDS) is supposed to be one of the main candidates for the next generation optical data storage, because of its high data transfer rate and high capacity [1]. Batch recording/reproduction using two-dimensional (2D) image units enables high speed data transfer while signal quality is greatly affected by 2D inter-symbol interference (ISI). Therefore, more powerful signal processing techniques are necessary required to achieve high density recording in HDS systems.
