Abstract

In recent years, increase and diversity of information demand storage technologies that have large capacity and high data transfer rate. Now the holographic memory is studied as one of the next generation optical storage. One of the problems that affect the practical use of holographic memory is deterioration of reproduced images suffering from two-dimensional intersymbol interference (ISI) due to a number of factors, such as an aberration in optical systems, mis-registration between spatial light modulator and CMOS detector and cross-talk. In this paper, we applied Volterra equalizer and QMMSE equalizer to reconstructed images suffered from ISI for the improvement of signal quality.
