Density scanner for engineered wood products using a realtime sub-THz imaging camera

Abstract

A real-time imaging interferometer is developed and used to measure density. The sensitivity is found to be 7.8 x 10-4 g/cm3 in a simulated environment, sufficient for measuring density in Medium Density Fiberboard manufacturing.
