Resolution improvment of in-vivo retinal images by corneal immersion

Abstract

We developed an imaging technique which diminishes the optical power of the cornea by refractive index matching. By using lens-fitted goggles the corneal aberrations were reduced and the resolution was improved to a single photoreceptor (cone) resolution.
