Large Diameter Radial Gradient-Index Lenses Fabricated by Ion Exchange

Abstract

Large diameter radial gradient-index (GRIN) lenses were fabricated using ion exchange in titania silicate glasses. Simple doublet designs are used to illustrate the potential for new GRIN elements to correct color in complex imaging systems.
