Abstract

The formal analogy between light propagation in an array of coupled optical waveguide (WG) and quantum effects has inspired a number of recent studies [1-3] of fundamental interest or for potential applications in integrated optics. With such analogies light intensities in the waveguides mimic the populations of discrete energy levels in quantum systems.
