Sub-wavelength imaging using metallic wire arrays

Abstract

Tapered arrays of metallic wires can manipulate fields on the sub-wavelength scale. Two types of nanoscale imaging applications using terahertz and mid-infrared waves are enabled: image magnification and radiation focusing.
