Abstract

We study autoresonant dynamics of light, unraveling a new effect: many-body autoresonance. The phenomenon involves multi-component mutually-uncorrelated waves passing adiabatically through resonance, and a sharp common-threshold transition to nonlinear phase-locking and amplification to predetermined amplitudes.
