Enhanced Nonlinear Absorption In Low-Finesse Metal-Dielectric Fabry-Perot Resonators

Abstract

We report on the nonlinear optical properties of metal-dielectric Fabry-Perot resonators with broad spectral bandwidths in the visible, peak transmittance larger than 70 %, and a nonlinear absorption up to 20× larger than bulk ZnO.
