Abstract

Quantum dots (QDs) have been proposed and demonstrated to be promising candidates for quantum information processing [1]. While single quantum dots have been studied thoroughly over the last years, the promise of scalability and multi-qubit operations can be realized through extensive studies on coupled QD systems. With this motivation, we study the interaction between two quantum dots that can be coupled by different mechanisms, through their optical emission and absorption signatures.
