Abstract
Color centers in diamond have attracted significant interest for applications in quantum information (QI) and quantum optics in recent years [1]. For the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center a number of key experiments have been demonstrated, e.g. single photon emission, coherent oscillation of a single electron spin, coherent coupling of single spins, two-qubit quantum gates and electromagnetically induced transparency. Among the many known color centers in diamond there are some more with interesting properties for QI experiments, such as nickel-nitrogen (NE8) centers and silicon vacancy (SiV) centers. All the centers mentioned emit in the red spectral range (600-800 nm).
