A novel discrete-arbitrary-picket pulse-shaping system for the OMEGA laser fusion facility

Abstract

We present the results of the development and testing of a new pulse-shaping system based on the temporal stacking of discrete optical picket pulses. This pulse-shaping system produces programmable picket packets that are suitable for numerous OMEGA facility applications.
