Coupling of electron and hole spins by exchange: exciton fine structrure in semiconductors

Abstract

Effects of exciton exchange interaction on coupling electron and hole spins are discussed. Single quantum dot studies allowed for resolution of the resulting fine structure pattern. A wavevector dependence was observed in bulk crystal studies.
