Quantum media conversion from a photon qubit to an electron-spin qubit for quantum communications

Abstract

We will present a single photon device designed for quantum media converters from a photon to an electron spin based on g-factor engineering. Single photoelectron trapping, storage, and detection have been demonstrated at 1.3µm-tele-communication wavelength.
