Abstract

We report the first measurement of the quantum phase-difference noise of an optical parametric oscillator phase-locked at frequency degeneracy. This provides indirect evidence for twin-beam Heisenberg-limited interferometry and constitutes a milestone towards bright-beam continuous-variable entanglement.
